1. Overview
At MecSpot Private Limited, we value your privacy and trust. In accordance with user protection laws and global digital marketplace compliance guidelines, you have the absolute right to request the permanent deletion of your MecSpot account and all associated personal data. This document outlines the process, the types of data erased, what may be legally retained, and compliance protocols.
2. How to Delete Your Account
You can request account deletion through two main channels:

- Wishlist & Shopping Preferences
- App Session Logs & Notification Preferences
- Verification or Uploaded KYC Documents (if any)
4. Data That May Be Retained
Certain operational data is retained exclusively for financial audits, regulatory requirements, tax purposes, and legal disputes:
- Complete Order History & Transaction Logs
- GST Invoices & Financial Billings
- Payment Records & Refund Ledgers
- Dispute Resolution & Fraud Investigation Logs
- Customer Support Email & Chat Archives

5. Data Retention Period
All retained transaction ledger and invoice data will be stored securely for a period of 7 years or as mandated by the Income Tax Act of India, corporate compliance, and applicable state consumer protection laws. Once this duration expires, all residual details are permanently purged.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Will deleting my account cancel my pending orders?
No, active/pending orders must be completed or cancelled first. Account deletion cannot be processed if you have active orders out for delivery or pending return requests.
Can I reactivate my account later?
No. Account deletion is permanent. All your wishlists, coupons, and saved preferences are gone forever. You will need to register a brand new account if you wish to use MecSpot in the future.
What happens to reviews I posted?
Product reviews and comments are detached from your PII and fully anonymized (showing as "Deleted User" or "Anonymous") to maintain the integrity of marketplace product reviews.
