1. Overview
MecSpot operates as an e-commerce marketplace platform connecting independent buyers and third-party sellers. Because we function as a marketplace, refund and cancellation eligibility depend on the specific circumstances of the order, vendor policies, and verification of product issues. This policy defines the rights and workflows for cancellations and refunds on our platform.
2. Order Cancellation by Buyer
• Buyers may cancel an order directly on the platform **only before it has been shipped** or accepted for processing by the seller.
• Once an order has been handed over to our courier partner or marked as shipped, cancellation is **not possible**.
• Any cancellation approved prior to shipment will be credited in full to the original payment method.
3. Order Cancellation by Seller
A marketplace seller or MecSpot may cancel an order due to:
• Product unavailability, stock errors, or inventory discrepancies.
• Pricing typographical errors or description faults.
• Delivery limitations or remote pincode restrictions.
• Regulatory restrictions or fraud warning alerts.
In all such cases, the customer will receive a 100% full refund immediately.
4. Refund Eligibility
You may request a return and subsequent refund under the following conditions:
- Product not delivered within the committed delivery window.
- Wrong item received (size, color, or model mismatch).
- Damaged item received (cracked, broken, or physically compromised).
- Defective product (functional failure, non-operational parts).
- Seller-approved return request based on voluntary listing policies.
7. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds and returns are explicitly rejected under the following scenarios:
- Products showing signs of customer misuse, installation, or alteration.
- Products damaged or broken after a successful delivery verification.
- Requests raised after the 7-day post-delivery return window has expired.
- Orders failed due to incorrect delivery address/contact details provided.
- Specific products marked as 'Non-Returnable' on their description page.
5. Refund Process Workflow
To ensure fairness, all claims pass through a structured verification system:
Submit Request
Submit your claim via the app profile page or by emailing support with order invoices and clear unboxing videos/images.
Verification & Review
Our internal team and the respective seller review the submitted evidence to verify damage or defective claims.
Approval & Pickup
If approved, we schedule a reverse pickup. The product must be returned with all original tags, accessories, and packaging intact.
Refund Initiation
Once the seller receives the reverse shipment and verifies the items, the refund is immediately triggered to your original payment source.
6. Refund Timelines
Once a refund is approved and initiated, the duration for credits to reflect depends on the payment method used during checkout:
Note: All timelines are subject to bank processing routines and network latency. We are not liable for delayed reflections caused by customer bank server downtimes.
8. Payment Gateway Processing
MecSpot processes all online transactions and refunds through RBI-approved secure payment gateway partners including **Razorpay** and other authorized service providers. Refunds cannot be processed in cash, check, or to third-party bank accounts. They are strictly credited back to the original source payment method.
9. Fraud Prevention Policy
MecSpot actively monitors return behaviors. We reserve the absolute right to investigate suspicious accounts, habitual refund claimants, or claims backed by forged unboxing media. Fraudulent refund claims or abuse of our consumer policies will lead to immediate account suspension and appropriate legal actions.

How do I check my refund status?
You can track your refund progress inside the MecSpot App under **My Orders → Order Details → Refund Status**. Additionally, you will receive SMS and email updates with transaction reference numbers (RRN) once initiated.
What should I do if my refund is delayed beyond 10 business days?
In rare cases, bank clearing cycles take longer. Please email us at `mecspot24x7@gmail.com` with your order ID. We will provide the gateway transaction receipt and RRN, which you can use to inquire with your bank.
Are shipping and parcel confirmation charges refundable?
Shipping and confirmation handling fees are non-refundable unless the cancellation is initiated by the seller or the product is found to be defective/damaged upon arrival.
