1.What this generator is for
It recreates a pickup / CKP pulse on the bench so you can confirm CDI or ECU response without spinning the engine. It is a signal source, not a replacement stator coil for the bike.
2.Start with a known-good pulse
If the CDI fires the coil from this generator but not from the bike, the fault is in the stator pickup, air gap or wiring — not automatically the CDI.
3.Do not feed 12 V into a pickup pin
Pickup coils are low-voltage AC sensors. Use the generator output only. Putting battery voltage on that pin can damage the CDI input.
